Ceremony Rules & What to Know

Please follow all park rules during your ceremony. These regulations help protect the park and ensure events can take place without interruption.


General Use & Public Access

  • Your permit is non-exclusive. Other members of the public may be present.

  • Your rental does not provide exclusive use of any playground within the park.

  • Vehicles are not permitted on park paths at any time.

  • Use of drones is not permitted.

  • Pets are not allowed.

  • Bounce houses are not permitted.

  • Fireworks are not permitted in any city park.


Driving & Parking

  • No driving is allowed within the park except for parking vehicles in designated parking spaces within parking lots.

  • Driving on grass, paths, or non-designated areas is prohibited.


Structures, Tents & Ground Disturbance

  • No staking of any kind is allowed.

  • No pop-up tents are permitted.

  • Umbrellas may not be staked into the ground.

  • No structures may be used that disturb the natural surface of the ground.

  • All tables, chairs, and equipment must be freestanding and removed the same day.


Decorations & Materials

  • No tape or adhesive materials may be used.

    • Decorations may only be secured with string or zip ties, and all materials must be removed after the event.

  • No balloons of any kind (helium or air-filled).

  • No chalk or bubble activities.

  • No smoke bombs.

  • The introduction of foreign or non-biodegradable materials is prohibited, including:

    • Confetti, powder, glitter

    • Silk, fake, or real petals

    • Silly string

    • Smoke of any kind


Food, Alcohol & Cooking

  • Alcohol is not permitted.

  • Outside grills, smokers, or fryers are not allowed.

  • Open flames are prohibited, including:

    • Warming canisters

    • Bonfires

    • Torches, lanterns, oil lamps, or flame-producing devices

  • Open flame use is allowed only in grills provided by the park.


Sound, Power & Activities

  • Amplified sound (speakers, microphones, etc.) is not allowed without a loudspeaker permit.

  • Generators are not permitted.

  • Sports activities such as:

    • Driving, putting, or hitting golf balls

    • Shooting arrows are not allowed.


Buildings & Facilities

  • Activities, changing clothes, or gathering large groups are not permitted inside the Visitor Center Museum or Gift Shop.


Cleanup & Departure

  • All tables, chairs, decorations, and equipment must be removed the same day.

  • Items may not be staked into the ground.

  • All trash must be placed in park trash cans.

  • If trash cans are full, you must remove your trash from the park.
